Since his retirement in 2004 Bishop Taylor has written Being a Bishop in Scotland (2006) and It's the Eucharist, Thank God (2009).
The former gives an account of Bishop Taylor’s life and of his experiences as a bishop and the latter combines teaching on the Eucharist with a unique personal view of a turbulent period in the liturgical life of the Catholic Church.
